Absolutely bonkers new releasese from the King Kung Foo camp... Limited to 100 copies for the planet, this 'Sandwich' record features a 10" with the Ronny & Renzo remix of Cos/Mes' "Naruro" and a bonus 7" with hidden track "Taboo". We'll let mr King Kung Foo do the talking:
Exactly one year after the release of the brilliant Cos/Mes Naruto original 12” on King Kung Foo Records and as promised, the label is extremely proud to present this second chapter: the Ronny & Renzo Takotsubo Take Ten version. And what a version it is! Because we are always looking to be bold and different, raising the bar as we go along, we now have come up with probably our most innovative release so far: a record in a record! Under the supervision of, and together with Nashville über-craftsmen in vinyl record manufacturing United Record Pressing, we created The Sandwich Record™. A mind boggling format where you have to carefully separate the two sides of a 10” clear vinyl record – one side has the remix on it, the other is blank – in order to free the 7” gold vinyl single that's hidden inside. That seven holds an unreleased Ronny & Renzo original called Taboo.
Again both tracks are mixed by Saloquin, who is responsible for putting the X-factor in the King Kung Foo sound. After his signature sound treatment we then took it to New York USA where chart-topping producer Mark Saunders mastered both tracks in his Manhattan based mastering facility BEAT360 Studios to secure optimal sonic impact.
We also decided to give this Limited Edition Series its own unique catalog number and so we start off this ultra-collectible series with FOO LES-1.
But why? To answer that question you'll need to get a copy of this collector item with that naughty but sexy looking little bonus 7” and find out for yourself. Nicolas, founder King Kung Foo Records
